A NAIT education creates opportunities

NAIT’s technical training and applied education is designed to meet the demands of Alberta's industries – graduates have the knowledge and skills employers want. They leave NAIT confident, prepared and in demand.

We are Essential

·         NAIT is the largest apprenticeship trainer in Canada.

·         98% of employers who have hired NAIT grads said they would do so again.

·         Five years after graduation, NAIT grads have near-zero unemployment and earn salaries that rival those of university graduates.

·         Year after year, more than 9 out of 10 graduates are employed soon after they finish final exams.

·         More than half of the class of 2009 had jobs waiting for them before they even graduated.

Our success depends on you.

Each year our 2,700 staff and faculty meet the needs of

·         more than 27,000 students in credit programs

·         nearly 33,000 registrations in non-credit programs

·         more than 12,000 apprentices

And Alberta’s growing economy demands that we further increase our student numbers. Essential: The NAIT Campaign is a $100 million fundraising campaign to support

·         student success [scholarships & bursaries]

·         applied research

·         critical funding to construct and equip the NAIT Centre for Applied Technologies, the largest capital project in NAIT’s history

This campaign will enable us to deliver on our 4 promises:

1.     To meet the current and emerging needs for polytechnic education and applied research in Alberta.

2.     To prepare students for meaningful careers with the skills necessary to have an immediate impact.

3.     To produce an exceptional skilled workforce that directly aligns with industry needs.

4.     To provide an outstanding workplace for staff where people matter.

Support our growth. Help us keep those promises.
